Epileptic Gaming #133: Thursday

   Great reviews guys.

   Agree with most points, maybe just a few comments.

   #1 You can “pause” and switch weapons/plasmids in the PC version by pressing SHIFT.

   #2 You can play thru the game completely without ever hacking any machine, camera or torrent.

   #3 The DX10 water effects look awesome! :)

   #4 Hacking on the PC is much easier and faster.

   #5 There are apparently 3 endings, but I could only find 2.

   The third ending is the same as the bad one with a different voice over. Not sure how to get though, some people say by saving/harvesting an equal amount of little sisters.

   Thanks for the corrections Tr0n… but I got one quesiton.

   Why is the PC hacking easier?? Can you move pieces with your mouse?

   Did you “pause” the game with the SHIFT or did you play like a real man and FPS style “in-action” weapon switched? Like what you gotta do in Q3 and UT2k4…

   On the PC you can move pieces with your mouse, now i think about it it must be really painful on the 360.

   You can do both the “in-action” (wheel changes weapons, ‘b’ changes ammo) and when you hit shift the game pauses, i’m guessing like the 360.

   That, and you can unveil the pieces much quicker with the mouse.

   Most of the time I switched with the right mouse button, but at the last two or three maps I used SHIFT so I had some time to think and choose a plasmid that was better in a specific situation.

   The problem I had was using 1-x for weapons and F1-x for plasmids, because I would always press 1-x even tho I just switched to plasmids.

   I am totally with Summa on this; the hacking almost ruins what could have been a contender for game of the year. Also, the searching for resources made this almost like a small RTS, which sucks ass.

   I am not with Force on his complaints about the story I thought the gaps worked to immerse me even more into the gameplay. Too much exposition and and too many cut scenes means the gameplay isn’t fleshed out properly. Overall I think this game is great but not perfect. Did anyone else kill a Big Daddy and lose the little sister? I had to kill fucking Rosie TWICE on the UpperWharf before I rescued the sister! FUCK! Like Summa I have had to walk away from the game a few times because I was so pissed.

   Finally; METROID PRIME SUCKS SMELLY HAIRY BAGS! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! piss.
