Bringing his World Famous skills to Epileptic Gaming, Robert Summa is the one true shining voice of the show. Clearly so full of himself that his head is two seconds away from explosion, Robert Summa is more or less the end all, be all of the gaming universe. When he came upon Epileptic Gaming and the crew, he deemed them “OK” by his worldly standards. Upon seeing the averageness spewing from the EG pores, Robert Summa graced the set with his presence and the show hasn’t been the same since.

HISTORY:

Born and raised in Virginia, Robert Summa’s career began as a general assignment reporter for a newspaper in Oklahoma. As a print journalism graduate from Hofstra University, he covered everything from cops and courts to local government news. From there, he moved on to become a news editor at a newspaper in New Mexico. After about a year and a half there, Summa moved to New York City where he continued his print career.

Summa had freelance stops at places such as the Wall Street Journal before landing a full-time position at Metro U.S. During his more than three years at Metro, he was the tech editor and gaming columnist for the paper that reached about one million readers combined across NYC, Philadelphia and Boston – not to mention syndication across the globe. While at Metro, Summa expanded to places online such as Joystiq and eventually Destructoid, where he was editor in chief and helped the site grow beyond what it was and into what it is today.

Summa’s position in gaming is not only represented by the places he’s been, but also the people he knows. In his years as a gaming journalist, he has been able to establish relationships with important people involved and has learned how to get what needs to be done on many important levels. He now brings that same level of experience to GGL and Epileptic Gaming.
