   Summa won there’s only 3 packs for GH, but Rock Band has 5 packs right now and 6 indvidual songs for download. Check out wikipedia its all there.

   That may have been something I did, I think the call ended right at the end of part 4 so it just seems like it was cut off.

   Its simple really

   Jeff at the end of the review basically tells everyone to NOT buy the game

   Kane and Lynch advertisement on the website is “SELLING” the game.

   This equals a conflict in interest

   This obviously is minus all the missing details that we will never know but that is the way I see it!!

   Forget arguing about what is a pack and what isn’t a pack. Why don’t you just count the songs?

   Here are the numbers.

   Guitar Hero 3:
   Xbox 360 has 13 songs.
   PS3 has 9 songs. (So much for PS3 being the best)

   Rock Band:
   Xbox 360 has 21 Songs.
   PS3 has 14. (Ouch!)

   Looks like the non working GH3 guitars isn’t the only thing wrong with the PS3 version of Rock Band.

   To conclude: Suma WINS!!!

   I just found more songs on the PS3 network for Rock Band so that brings it up to 18… Only a Black Sabbath pack behind the 360.

   So now Suma wins even bigger! Rock band has twice as many download songs as Guitar Hero 3…even if you do count the boss battle pack…and it hasn’t been released as long.

    Last I checked 4 equals, well, 4, making it a dead tie which is pretty much what wheat said. You can all twist the numbers as you like but the argument was clearly about the number of bundles available.

    Number of bundles for the PS3, remember Wheat specifically mentioned looking up the content on the PSN website. They should have mentioned this tomorrow because once the Black Sabbath pack come out tomorrow it will be 5-4 in favor of Rock Band.

    No, it wasn’t about the number of bundles on the PS3, they specifically argued about that exact thing. Hell you could count the “Halo bundle” for GH3 though as far as I can tell that’s only one song anyway so that’s hardly a bundle even if they name it like that.

    I think what it boils down to is for the amount of money you drop on Rock Band + the broken guitars and other issues if it DOESNT have more content than Guitar Hero 3 I’m going to be disappointed heh, I drop that much money on a game to get all these little pieces to play it it better offer me something that makes it worth the investment. Not to mention its also an EA deal where if anybody can shove shit at you in rapid succession in exchange for cash, well, thats EA motto

    My roommates guitar broke yesterday so we’re waiting for the coffin to come in the mail. He opened it up and found that instead of having the strum bar rest on springs like the Guitar Hero guitars, there’s shitty little pieces of foam.

    Rock Band has far more content.

    Guitar Hero III Has
    The Velvet Revolver Pack
    The Foo Fighters Pack
    The Boss Battle Pack (which was already in the game)
    The Halo Theme (which is only 1 song and is not a a pack)

    Rock Band has
    Metallica Pack
    Queens of the Stone age pack
    The Police Pack
    David Bowie Pack
    The Balck Sabbath Pack (which is out today)

    Plus some songs you can get are not available in packs.So if you count the Halo theme as a pack then these songs are all packs as well.

    I think my very last question was misunderstood.

    I was trying to say what’s the difference between the boss battle pack that has songs that should have been in the game, and the warhawk helicopter thing that maybe should have been in the game.

    Time was running out so I didn’t word it right… :[

    Dude. Don’t think it ends that easy. I wasn’t a state debate champ by accident.

    The original criteria of the argument was that, “BOTH GAMES HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF DOWNLOADABLE PACKS”. Never was it stated that in order for a pack to count it must be songs not in the game, a certain number of songs, etc. The only burden of proof for my side is to show that there are an equal amount of packs for each system.

    Which means that Martjin pretty much closes the case on this one. There are FOUR packs for each.

    Now if RB releases another pack today, fine, then Rock Band has the most content. However, at the time the show aired, that pack was not out, so you cannot just say Rock Band has 5 packs. Additionally, Rock Band claimed they would have a patch for the PS3 today to add GH3 support. Did it come? No. Which could very well happen with said song pack.

    The funny thing is… my original outburst towards Summa didn’t have anything to do with the AMOUNT of content there was, but rather how Summa said, “I like how Rock Band is doing the content better than GH3″. That took me back because GH3 and Rock Band have the SAME strategy. They want to release songs every week. So it didn’t make sense to me that he would praise Rock Band over GH3 when essentially they have exactly the same strategy in releasing extra content.

    FINALLY, 5 minutes before this argument, Summa was BITCHING about .99 cent characters in PAIN. So tell me… is Summa really gonna be spending all these microtransaction points on songs when he won’t even spent .99 cents on a hot, almost clothesless model?

    Great show, love to see the show go beyond the airwaves!

    Actually djWheat, the 5th Rock Band DLC pack (Black Sabbath) was released BEFORE the show aired. The pack was released 12 AM PST/1AM MST/2 AM CST/3 AM EST on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 because that’s when I downloaded it. Of course, this was on the XBOX LIVE MarketPlace, but was not available on the PS Network until later in the Tuesday afternoon.

    Dj Wheat, the Halo song does NOT count as a pack.It’s an individual song.If you count it as a pack then those individual Rock Band songs not released in packs should count as packs as well.

    And sorry for the double post but Summa was right about Rock Band doing it better as well.Rock Band will have downloadable Albums soon,it’s content is cheaper, and already has much more content than Guitar Hero III despite GHIII being out a month before Rock Band.

    I’m guessing you’re a rockband fanboy? Stop sidestepping the actual argument by adding stuff completely irrelevant to said argument.
