Student who made Xbox LIVE threats charged

For those of you haven’t heard, a student at Frosburg State University, was arrested for making threats over Xbox LIVE during a game of Call of Duty 4. This may sound ridiculous to most of us, but to be fair, the threats did involve shooting people at his school.

Today it was revealed that the student, Allieu Shaw, will receive two counts of disrupting a school operation, a misdemeanor charge. If convicted, Shaw could serve up to a year in prison or pay a $5,000 fine.

I hope this serves as an example for the gamers on Xbox LIVE to clean up their act and think twice when talking trash in their next game of Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3.
